Your Mission (If you choose to accept it) … is to be responsible for all the service and support needs for our clients, including workstations, servers, network, printer and vendor specific hardware and software.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide world class IT support to our clients and their employees
- Assist Junior Systems Engineers with escalated service tickets
- Work with all personnel, outside contacts and vendors, to satisfy client needs and achieve company goals
- Identify areas of improvement for our clients and assist in creating and implementing the best solutions
Additional Responsibilities:
- Translate from user explanations of issues to a technical description and vice versa
- Submit quote requests for replacement or additional parts and service
- Provide support required to close service tickets promptly, within the SLA and to the satisfaction of the client
- Escalate service requests that cannot be completed within SLAs to Senior Systems Engineers
- Provide detailed SLA debrief and reports of services calls for future enhancements
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration (Active Directory Group Policy & Powershell Scripting experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Cloud administration (Office 365 & Azure experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Virtualization Platform administration (VMware ESX experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Basic Routing, Switching, WAN, VPN, and other infrastructure technologies
- Proficiency in Firewall technologies (WatchGuard experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Switching technologies (Cisco Small Business and Aruba experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Wireless technologies (WatchGuard experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Backup & Disaster Recovery technologies (Axcient or Snapshot based experience a plus)
- Proficiency in IT Security technologies (EDR & SIEM experience a plus)
- Some experience or past involvement in systems design, planning, and implementation a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to self organize
Education:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or better from an accredited college or technical school or 3+ years of related experience in a Microsoft network environment.
