DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY
The Building Maintenance Technician’s purpose is to maintain a safe, functional, and efficient building for all operations and employees. This role will be focused on general building maintenance, repairs, and groundskeeping.
MUST BE WILLING TO OBTAIN A BOILER'S LICENSE IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE
Position also requires 24/7 on-call for building emergency response
Responsibilities include:
- General building maintenance such as painting, minor plumbing, light electrical support
- Review operating data to ensure boilers and equipment are performing at optimal levels.
- Handle and maintain equipment making manual adjustments to equipment, replace gauges, valves, or filters on the heating systems.
- Replacing of consumable items such as light bulbs/ballasts, hinges, fan blades, handles, etc.
- Carpentry repair, patching, painting, doors, molding, shelving, etc.
- General maintenance and safety checks including CO2 @ Smoke detector batteries, exits free and clear, fire extinguishers full and up to date, etc.
- Maintains cleanliness of building and grounds including garbage removal, sweeping and mopping floors, street litter removal, maintaining exterior walkways including salting and snow removal, fences, and pest control.
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years previous experience as a Building Maintenance Technician in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
- MUST have a current Boilers license.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license (must also be insurable on a corporate policy/ good driving record)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform repetitive physical labor for 8+ hours a day, and the ability to utilize hand and power tools
