We are currently looking for a Product Service Technician working in Racine at our manufacturing plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for implementing and improving the installation, service, and training process for Twin Disc products.  This position is responsible for working with Twin Disc customers and internal departments to analyze and resolve product service issues. It is also responsible for new product installation processes, delivery of technical service training programs, and technical publications including service manual production.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in product application analysis testing and installation including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic products

Technical Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Twin Disc products and applications
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems appropriately
  • Ability to understand product issues and effectively communicate findings to customers

Essential Job Functions

  1. Use knowledge and experience to oversee failure investigations, including determining requirements and, if necessary, go to the field to analyze situations as required utilizing the necessary equipment, i.e. mechanical, hydraulic and electronic test equipment; assess cause, determine and implement appropriate corrective action, and submit detailed reports on each situation.
  2. Meet professionally with other Twin Disc personnel, such as Product and Test Engineers and contact Quality Assurance to initiate and follow up on any corrective actions required in resolving field situations.
  3. Coordinate communications pertaining to Product Service and installations in response to individual service questions.
  4. Oversee and take responsibility for new product installations in the field consisting of verifying performance, alignment, hydraulics, controls, etc.  Write and present concise reports on the installation and evaluate changes that should be made to make the product more salable.
  5. Design and deliver technical service training programs to qualified personnel on Twin Disc products at customer sites and at Twin Disc.
  6. Coordinate and prepare source materials required for the publication of new service manuals, review manuals and write technical publications.
  7. Be knowledgeable on all products, product changes and new products with regards to design, applications, operation and installation, and changes to service manuals.
