Job Summary

Guest Services/Concession Attendant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations for Guest Services and Concessions.

Salary:

  • Year 1: $16.73/hr.
  • Year 2: $17.06/hr.
  • Year 3: $17.41/hr.
  • Year 4: $17.75/hr.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily operations of the Guest Services operations of the the SC Johnson Community Aquatic Center to include the concessions, desk and facilities.
  • Responsible for the orientation, training, supervision and evaluation of assigned staff.
  • Prepare and conduct in-service staff training. Responsible for the documentation of on-going training.
  • Responsible for reviewing timecards for accuracy and verifying corrections and updates.
  • Assist with supply and equipment orders and arrange for proper distribution.
  • Develop and implement routines, schedules and procedures for daily operations of Guest Services and Concessions, assigning staff schedules.
  • Must follow cash control procedures.
  • Maintain and review records and evaluations of all programs, Guest Services and Concessions operations, staff and facilities.
  • Prepare an evaluation and summary of vendors, items offered, operations, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor safety and all procedures as they pertain to the complete supervision of all participants and staff.
  • Prepare and distribute information to participants and parents regarding program activities.
  • Maintain an organized workspace, which includes, but not limited to having all the necessary supplies, forms, equipment, etc. needed for Guest Services operations.
  • Respond to internal and external phone calls, e-mails, comments, and suggestions in a timely manner.
  • Accurately answer patron questions in a timely manner.
  • Assist in customer service, which include, but not limited to customer issues, comments, complaints, and concerns. Employee will be assisting the customers in different ways, such as, but not limited to person to person and over the phone and must be able to assist them immediately or direct the customer to the appropriate manager if necessary.
  • Complete the necessary forms for accidents and incidents.
  • Assist with forecasts and plans the purchase of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Assists in menu planning.
  • Responds to customer preferences and industry trends.
  • Ensures that established sanitation and safety standards are maintained in the community room, concessions, locker rooms & restrooms.
  • Oversees and participates in the preparation and serving of food.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Enforce all Aquatic Center policies and code of conduct.

Supervision Received: Receives supervision from the Recreation Program Manager.

Qualifications

  • Must be at a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age, with cash handling and supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work with public in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service experience, friendly, and courteous.
  • WI Food Manager Certification.
  • CPR-AED Certification.

  • While performing this job, the employee is required to speak and listen, stand, walk, use hands, sit, stoop or kneel, bend and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements include, distance, color vision, peripheral and depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Safety and Facility Requirements:

  • Assure a safe and hazard free environment by inspecting and taking the necessary action to correct and safeguard against potential problems and/or accidents.
  • Must comply with all safety policies and procedures now in effect or adopted in the future.
  • Worker must be able to follow directions with safe follow through and exercises good judgement and safety awareness.
  • Worker will use all required PPE.
  • All unsafe conditions are to be reported to your supervisor immediately.

Staff Incentives:

  • Free family membership to the SC Johnson Community Aquatic Center.
  • $50 early sign-on bonus, if accepted before March 1st (awarded mid July)
  • $50 bonus for returning staff (awarded mid July)
  • $100 referral bonus for each new staff member referred and hired (awarded mid July)
  • $200 end of season bonus for those averaging 20 hours for 10 weeks or $500 end of season bonus for those averaging 35 hours for 10 weeks.
  • Will receive time and a half if scheduled to work on a holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).

*In order to receive any incentive bonuses, you must be an active employee at the time of distribution otherwise it will not be awarded to you.*

.Overtime Pay:

  • Time and one half regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty hours per week.
.Wisconsin Deferred Compensation:
  • WDC is adminstered by ETF, the same administrator as WRS, Wisconsin Retirement Systems. You can invest with Nationwide, WDC, or both as long as you do not exceed the annual contribution limit. The contribution limit for 2022 is $20,500.00.
