Required Certifications/Licenses:
All substitute Teachers are required to have a valid teaching credential or a Wisconsin 3 year substitute teacher permit.
To qualify for a 3 year substitute teacher permit, an applicant must have earned a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree and be hired by a district.
Successful completion of the Substitute Training Workshop is required to obtain the 3 Year substitute teacher permit. CESA I offers a two day workshop or the district offers an online workshop. We will work with you after hire to obtain the license.
Willing to work in a Virtual or Remote environment. Training will be offered virtual and modules.
It is the responsibility of the substitute to ensure that all credentials are current.
Position Purpose:
We have 5 vacant Math positions that will need long term Substitute Teachers.
Job involves instruction, supervision and training of individuals or groups of students with a wide variety of needs in a regular and/or special education setting.
Job activities include instruction of students in a variety of education environments including classrooms, learning centers, vocational programs, the community and/or other institutional facilities.
Substitute carries out the absent teacher’s prepared lesson plans and also keeping Classroom Management
During a prolonged absence, the substitute is responsible for performing all essential functions identified in absent teacher’s job description. You are also compensated at the long term rate for qualified long term assignments.
Duties may require traveling to various buildings throughout the district as scheduled.
Substitutes are required to stay for the assigned time that is in the substitute absent system.
