OFFICE CLERK
RESPONSIBIILITIES
Essential Functions:
1. Perform the clerical functions of the school office; including but not limited to answering phones.
2. Prepare outgoing mail including bulk mail, and distribute incoming mail.
3. Enter student activities into Infinite Campus.
4. Assist in preparing and distributing correspondence, reports, schedules and bulletins to parents and staff.
5. Assist in schedules and organizes complex events including but not limited to Parent/Teacher Conferences, Honor Roll, Awards Night, Student Schedule pick-up, and 8th grade Transition.
6. Assist in entering Discipline into Inifinite Campus.
7. Assist with end of year office responsibilities
8. Any other duties deemed necessary by the administrative staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Pleasant; busy office setting, however may experience frequent interruptions to attend to student, staff and visitor needs. May occasionally have to work with irate parents, guardians, and/or students. May have to attend to students who have been referred to the office.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent. Computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel; Power Point helpful. Records/report processing preferred.
Infinite Campus, AESOP and Medication training are responsibilities of the position and successful certification will be required after placement into the position.
Experience: One (1) year in a general office setting (school office experience and experience maintaining and processing student attendance records helpful)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

1. Ability to work well with constant interruptions and maintain a professional demeanor.
2. Ability to make quick and responsible decisions following Racine Unified School District policies and procedures.
3. Good clerical skills, i.e. typing, knowledge and use of various office machines, up to date on latest software applications.
4. Ability to prioritize; work well independently in a high volume office while being efficient and organized.
5. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
6. Must be willing and able to learn current District electronic communication system, email, notes, distribution lists, the directory, attachments, and calendar functions.
7. Must maintain confidentiality
8. Must have good attendance.
9. Must have good evaluations
10. Ability to assist and monitor students in the office
11. Must dress in professional attire.
