We are currently seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering Manager responsible for directing and managing the Electrical Engineering functions at LDV.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Manage department budget to plan for development and ongoing engineering functions.
  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Recommend budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work as it pertains to Engineering and Design.
  • Maintain our information database/web interface and keep it current with design, installation, and service instructions as the company expands.
  • Lead product research, development, and innovation based on our customer needs, as well as updates with new technologies.
  • Support the Sales Departments as new product designs are sold.
  • Support Sales generated requests/designs.
  • Evaluation of new equipment models in regard to techniques, strategies, and layout for production and service.
  • Evaluate and recommend ways to reduce/remove cost, weight, and production time from beginning to the final end product.
  • Act as liaison between Engineering and other business units.
  • Provide technical engineering advice and counsel to Management, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
  • Provide support for Service and customers for post-sale vehicle operation and maintenance.
  • Recommend methods to utilize technology in LDV daily operations.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Electrical Engineering Department.

This position requires a unique and talented individual:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Knowledge of Design software; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software; and Word Processing software. Experience with logic programming preferred.               
  • Experience with vehicles and electronics/communications equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and have the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
