Part Time
1. Discusses assigned instructional materials with teacher to coordinate
instructional efforts.
2. Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments to
present or reinforce learning concepts.
3. Use encouragement and redirection to support learning in the school
environment.
4. Assist in keeping order in the classroom.
5. Supervise student to and from class, during lunch, recess and bus
loading.
6. Assist with supervision during emergency situations.
7. Devote attention to children needing discipline and special attention.
8. Assist children with outdoor clothing.
9. Constant supervision of the student(s) for safety in all areas of
learning.
10. Carry out program and behavioral objectives in both the school and
public settings.
11. Bathroom student(s) (clean body waste and fluids) and provide primary
personal and health care needs.
12. Feed student(s) if necessary.
13. Track student(s)’ progress to provide information to teachers for
instruction/re-instruction and assist with annotated record keeping.
Education/Training:
High school diploma or equivalent plus coursework toward teacher
certification preferred.
Required Certifications/Licenses:
State of Wisconsin, Special Education certification is required by the
successful candidate. There is a fee of $100.00 for a five year license
and renewals are necessary as long as you remain this position.
Experience:
One (1) plus year experience working with children.

behaviors by students.
2. Recognizes the sensitive nature of the work and have due regard for
confidentiality
3. Work well with medically fragile students.
4. Work well with students, staff and public.

8. Have patience and initiative.
9. Willingness and ability to follow detailed verbal and written
directives.
10. Work well under directions from two or more supervisors.

14. Dependable, punctual, good attendance.
15. Physical stamina, and the ability to reach,stoop/kneel, crouch/crawl,
push/pull, lift/carry, climb/balance, stand and walk.
