Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for analyzing current business processes and making recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business and technical knowledge. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
- Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
Operational Management
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization.
- Create system design proposals.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
- Facilitates and/or conducts end-user training based on business needs.
- Maintains a state-of-the-art awareness of needs and developments through participation in user groups and departmental meetings.
Requirements and Competencies:
- A BA or BS in MIS or Computer Science, Master’s Degree a plus.
- Minimum of four to six years’ experience in ERP support, configuration, and development with at least one successful ERP implementation project with direct responsibility for company/enterprise set-up, testing, data conversion, implementation, and immediate post go-live support.
- Strong written and oral communications skills, presentation skills and experience in successfully training others on ERP capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal relationship and listening skills that allow being able to work with people with difference personalities and people having a wide range of system experience.
- Knowledge of enterprise business systems including CRM, ERP, BI, and EPM
- Experience with ERP developer tools and configuration tools for ERP.
- Capable of designing and leading the development of custom business functions such as screen restructuring, composite screens, and business defined workflow.
- Knowledgeable of relational table structures and capable of performing data conversion tasks, as well as to guide the business in design intent of functional fields within a database
- Perform data analysis using SQL and other tools as necessary.
- Travel between local sites to accommodate business needs is required.
- Limited travel to other domestic and/or international locations may be required.
- Demonstrated experience in a global, publicly traded manufacturing company
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good project management skills.
- Proven training in Business Process Modeling and Knowledge of and experience in Agile, SDLC and other project management techniques
