This assignment is for just the 24/25 current school year.

Position Purpose:
Job involves instruction, supervision, and training of individuals or groups of students with a wide variety of needs in a regular and/or special education setting. Job activities include instruction of students in a variety of education environments including classrooms and learning centers.
Practicing safety guidelines, in this position, you will be assigned by the Secretary or Principal to specific classrooms to cover staff absences. As a Building Substitute you will be staffed at full-time hours each day to ensure that any staff absences do not negatively impact our students’ academic progress or cause disruption to the school operations.
During a prolonged absence of a teacher, the Building Substitute is responsible for performing all essential functions identified in the absent teacher’s job description.

Required Certifications/Licenses:
All substitute teachers are required to have a valid teaching credential or a Wisconsin 3 year substitute teacher permit.
To qualify for a 3-year substitute teacher permit, an applicant must have earned a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree and be hired by a district.
Successful completion of the Substitute Training Workshop is required to obtain the 3 Year substitute teacher permit. We are partnering up with STEDI to offer this workshop.
It is the responsibility of the substitute to ensure that all credentials are current.
